In the crowded field of Pakistani prime-time television, Kaisa Yeh Ishq has made its appearance with a storyline that is both familiar and yet still有力 in depicting first love coming up against strict family rules. The programme, which is produced by Arslan Zeeshan and Badar Mehmood, started on 12 August 2026 and is broadcast from Monday to Saturday at 9:00 PM on Geo Entertainment; it is directed by Abdul Ahad and written by Naila Ansari, and centres on the strong appeal of childhood attachment and the great price of patriarchal control.
A Love Written in Childhood
The story is about Sila and Ali, two young people whose lives have been connected since childhood by a engagement arranged by their families; the relationship between them seems natural and strong. For Sila, who has always been under the strict supervision of her grandfather Ayaz Durrani, Ali has always been the most important person in her life and Ali in turn returns this affection with quiet loyalty and devotion.
The problems start with Ayaz Durrani himself. Although portrayed with great authority by Usman Peerzada, he is marked by the trauma of his daughter's love marriage. Because of this past experience he has become a domineering person who is determined to safeguard the family's honour regardless of the consequences. He imposes strict rules on Sila and, following a miscommunication, ends the engagement. In order to remain together, Sila and Ali arrange a secret marriage. But this scheme is destroyed when Sara, a woman who is utterly obsessed with Ali, exposes it. In a rage Ayaz forces Sila to marry a stranger and later Ali is made to marry Sara too. What starts off as a pleasant promise from childhood soon turns into a tale of forced separation, regret and emotional survival.
