The Journey
To truly understand Fahad Sheikh, you need to look beyond the polished on-screen hero and occasional social media glimpses of family life. He often gets labeled a “chocolate hero” or intense romantic lead. However, those who know him describe a grounded, resilient man shaped by early rejections, a love for cricket, and a deep commitment to family. In an industry that thrives on glamour and constant visibility, Fahad stands out for his quiet determination and ability to reinvent himself—from cricket prodigy to accountant-turned-actor to one of Pakistan’s reliable TV faces.
The Lahore Roots and a Sporting Past
Born on February 22, 1989, in Lahore into a mixed Punjabi and Kashmiri family (with Kashmiri heritage from his maternal grandmother), Fahad grew up in a household that valued education and discipline. Lahore remains his emotional anchor; it is his hometown, the place where he built his early career, and where family ties run deepest. Before the cameras called, Fahad was a promising cricketer. He played for the Pakistan national under-19 team, a fact that often comes up in nostalgic interviews and throwback photos. The competitive spirit and discipline from the pitch later served him well in the demanding world of Pakistani television.
His education reflects a practical mindset. He attended Beaconhouse School in Lahore, pursued accountancy qualifications (CAT and ACCA) at SKANS and the London College of Accountancy, and even earned a diploma in filmmaking. He balanced studies with managing a clothing business (“FS Clothing”) and hosting the show Gyara Number (11 Number) on Style 360 around 2011. These early experiences in business and hosting developed his on-camera presence and entrepreneurial skills, which continue to support his career today.
The Tough Entry into Acting and the Breakthrough
Fahad’s transition to full-time acting wasn’t smooth. Early on, he faced criticism about his height, Urdu pronunciation, and overall demeanor—feedback that could have discouraged many. Instead, it fueled his growth. His acting debut as a lead came in (2016) on ARY Zindagi, followed by steady work in dramas like , , , , , , and . These roles built his portfolio, but it was the 2020 ARY Digital drama —where he played the complex, flawed Ahmer opposite Hajra Yamin—that propelled him into the spotlight. The serial’s controversial and emotionally charged narrative resonated widely, turning Fahad into a household name.
