As the younger brother of superstar Ali Zafar and with another brother, Zain, Danyal was surrounded by music and creativity from an early age. Lahore remains his hometown, shaping his artistic views and cultural identity.
He received a strong education at Lahore Grammar School for his O and A levels and at Beaconhouse Defence Campus. He also took a one-year conservatory filmmaking course at the New York Film Academy.
